Join us as we prepare a new exhibition space in Silver Lake. Construction is about to begin to transform the lot in front of 1619 Silver Lake Blvd. into a functional, modular exhibition/ experimentation lab.
Twice yearly, the site will host new outdoor developments of transarchitectural installations. Use of sustainable resources, renewable energy and smart technologies will be encouraged. The goal is to push the application of materials beyond what typical commercial and residential project limits allow towards a more liquid architecture.
. . . liquid architecture is the tectonics of behavior, affiliated with perpetual becoming, emergence, life, artificial and otherwise. Like a creature leaving tracks on the sand, it will readily erase its engraved tracks for the sake of continuing to write its life's course. Digital spaces offer a natural habitat, but not the only one. Perhaps more than anything else, liquid architecture is a habit, a way of life, a liberating and confident openness to discontinuity.
